Information about Gangapur City Railway Station, Rajasthan
Gangapur City Railway Station is located in eastern part of Rajasthan state of India. The station is built on the Delhi-Mumbai railway route and it is an important part the West Central Railway. Gangapur city station is a big station even it is not a point of Junction. All important trains halt at the station which connects it to other major cities of India. Many good trains also stop here.
The city was established by king Kushaliram and it was known as Kushal Garh in the beginning. Once the king made a temple of Goddess Ganga, city’s name was changed to Gangapur. In old days when Jaipur was a state, Gangapur city was its cultural capital and it was called as ‘the Jugad of the East’.
It is a small and beautiful city and a municipality in Sawai Madhopur district which is famous for Ranthambore National Park. The city is full of greenery.
Gangapur city station has all the facilities needed to passengers. Book stall, Waiting Room facilities exist there. Small shop with tea and snacks are available at the station. If one is planning to visit there, they should arrange their food in advance rather than thinking of buying at the station because a restaurant with quality food is not available at the station.
Auto, rickshaw and bus facilities are available nearby station which helps travellers in moving in the city, they charge reasonable fares. One can hire auto alone or it can be shared with other passengers.
Good education system is established in the city for students. Though there are many schools and colleges are built in the city but more man living in the area are educated comparing to the woman.
Many villages are located in and around the city. People are simple in nature.
Tourist visiting in the city must see few places such as Vindhyan mountain range and waterfall in Dhundheshvar. Locals go for picnic at Dhundheshvar waterfall.
Gangapur city is well connected from other major cities of India via Rail and road.
