It is also in the main plan to install CCTVs and metal detectors on the sensitive railway stations. The General Manager of the Central Railway wanted a kind of environment on the station so that the passengers have a good feel of the care taken by the railway facilities and the staff who come in contact with them. There is an urgent need of the new trains between Ballarshah and Nagpur covering a distance of about 140 km. To maintain the trains running through Nagpur there stands a genuine need of having a coaching complex where the trains are maintained and taken care of technically and physically.
On platform number 1 the waiting area for the passengers covers a huge space. There is a facility of retiring rooms also for those passengers who wait for the connecting trains. There is a good facility for having food which is authorized by the IRCTC in the very main building that can accommodate around 150 people. Here a great many varieties of food are available. Retiring rooms have AC and non-AC rooms both charging @ Rs. 250.00 and Rs. 200.00 respectively.
